No matter where you choose to lay your head in San Diego, you’ll find a beautiful and friendly city ready to welcome you to a true Southern California experience. I don’t mind to drive the initial distance to the west side, but mainly wanting to know best location to visit all of Yellowstone while staying in one location outside of the park. And the amenities of a stay in Cary go beyond just the convenience to downtown Raleigh (a 15-minute drive from one downtown to the other) and sense of security (Cary is consistently ranked one of the safest towns in America).
But if you really want to discover the park and not spend all your time driving up and down, then accommodation that is located 3-4 hours driving time from most sections of the park is simply not a feasible option. Cooke City is a good base for the Lamar Valley as well – there are a handful of hotels and restaurants.
But if you want to experience Santorini then Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, or Oia are far better choices. Of course, some of the world’s most beautiful beachfront views are part of the heavenly amenities at most places to stay. If you are looking for a convenient and quirky place to stay in San Diego this is the neighbourhood for you.
Places To Stay In St. George & Zion Canyon
Holidays are eagerly awaited by the whole family for lots of fun and frolics. Cary has a wide range of full-service, limited-service, extended-stay and bed-and-breakfast options that include major meeting hotels and luxurious spas, plus hotels with quick access to outdoor recreation opportunities, RDU International Airport and more.
But if you were are here only for a few days and the major hotels are full, pensionne houses seem to be practical. With 47 miles of beaches, there are plenty of beach hotels and hotels near the beach to choose from so you’ll never miss a sunrise. Oia is quieter, more romantic, generally has more expensive hotels and higher-end restaurants.
North Park is walking distance to many cultural hubs like Balboa Park, the Ray Street Arts District, and the North Park Theater. Imerovigli is my favorite town on Santorini and that’s where I’d recommend. For a more budget-friendly option in the city, the Fairfield Inn & Suites is one of our favorite Washington DC hotels for kids, as it features free breakfast and free Wi-Fi.

Deciding on the best area to stay in Jerusalem can be a tricky task. Some beach time, restaurants are important, nightlife but not disco type until maybe midnight. The best views and locations all belong to the hotels and it’s hard to determine where exactly a rental is located (and location is huge for Santorini). Visitors will find family-run hostels, guesthouses, and a handful of hotels.
Otherwise, I’d visit the northern side of the park first and then drive on to West Yellowstone and stay there all 3 nights. In Naxos, Naxos Town is my favorite place to stay – easy access to several beaches and where you’ll find the best restaurants on the island. The Hotels and Airbnbs (average $70-$90 a night) are considerably cheaper than in Old San Juan… or really anywhere else a traveler would want to spend time.
Bottom Line: The city center is the best place to stay for those who enjoy the buzz of the city. Street art – Walk around Ocean Beach and you’ll see artwork in many forms.
